Agreed.
The problem is one of scope.

Bookkeeping is Boooooooring.

We are actuallly handling inventories.
If we don't, the "customers" will go elsewhere.
Wait. Take the quotation marks off of customers. From rumor, someone is out 
to make money from gnucash.

The problem is that the "engine" is just a database.
If I don't record "stocks" in it, the user must record them somewhere else.
But that database os more than capable of storing bookkeeping records.
