here's a little buglet in the current cvs version:
under certain cases, the resgister doesn't scroll.
-- open some register
-- click on 'create new account'
-- now go back to register. It will not accept any input, nor will
the scroll bar scroll (although it does redraw!)
(the very old motif had a similar problem, which was fixed
by creating a fake event loop that was used whenever certain
dialogues (mostly the yes/no dialogues) had trouble. But in motif,
it was *only* the yes/no dialogues, and the file picker, that would
block out the other windows like this. Its because motif thought
these were 'transient' windows and its philosophy was to give
'transient' windows all the focus. Dunno why its so in gtk ...
maybe the 'create account' dialogue has a 'transient' parent widget?)
