I recently ran into some difficulty with one of my gnucash accounts that had me needing to re-reconcile from April 2024 forward. I have now printed all the statements for my asset and liability accounts. I deleted the log files and began the job of downloading transactions and reconciling each account. I know, I have more time than brains. One of the unanticipated results of just deleting the data in one swell foop is that I also deleted the data in another account. My bad!
Here's the question: *Does Gnucash allow for different file locations for different data sets?* Example - I have a data set for my personal finances and a different data set for an organization for which I am the treasurer. I THINK in deleting log files for my personal dataset I also deleted some log files for the organization since they are in the same directory.. Accounts in that second set were no longer reconciled though the actual transactions still exist. Any advice you can offer will be appreciated.
