This was the solution for me, thank you.
I backed up my Documents\gnucash folder, uninstalled the gnucash 5.12
app through the Win11 Installed Apps page, rebooted just in case there
were any libraries held open then deleted the C:\Program
Files(x86)\gnucash folder. There were a lot of remnants in there that
had accumulated over time. A clean 5.13 install worked smoothly and gave
no issues when opened.
Thanks for the assistance. This could be a useful step for anyone else
who has been a long term user.
