Ken

Thanks for the substantial list of suggestions. Let me tell you what I have
tried.

I have tried installing Gnucash 5.13 on a desktop computer with supported
Windows 11 works ok.

I have tried installing Gnucash 5.13 on another i5 laptop (this time a
Lenovo) which has unsupported Windows 11 installed. This worked ok without
a problem!

I completely uninstalled Gnucash on the HP unsupported laptop and then
installed 5.13 from scratch in administrator mode. This did not run in
either normal or administrator mode or in Windows 8 compatibility mode
(Windows 10 compatibility was not available).

I have now gone back to 5.12 (which works fine) and will wait to see if
anyone else experiences similar problems to mine.

Thanks for your help.

Mike
