Adding: After some additional testing, the "Don't autocomplete" is ignored when there is an exact description match. It seems to function if there is not an exact match.
To reproduce: Type in an exact match of a description. Select "Don't autocomplete" from the autocomplete list. Press tab to move to the next field. The "Don't autocomplete" is ignored as the fields are populated as if autocomplete was desired. > On 11/25/2025 8:47 PM PST Patrick James via gnucash-user > <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Tom & Sherlock, > > I am confirming that Tom is correct about GnuCash ignoring the "Don't > autocomplete" request, both with ESC and selecting "Don't autocomplete" from > the list. > > It would seem to me that if "Don't autocomplete" is selected, then the cursor > should move to the next field without any autocomplete and leaving the > description field as filled (no changes).
