Please tell us which OS in use. Your screenshot does look like Apple, and in that case there are 2 different builds to choose from. > > ALSO, because this program, though it is being built on my computer Please don't try to build on your computer at this early stage in your journey. > was intended to have our church treasurer download the program on her > computer then import the program that I built. If there is some difficulty in getting new programs from the internet on one computer, just come back and ask here. > Because of that, though the program is on > my computer and I was saving the data to a USB flash drive' perhaps > that is an issue as well. It should not affect this issue. The belt and braces crowd remember that "Jesus saves" and make copies of the data file. > > I managed to set up my Income and Expense accounts more accurately > without a problem, however, there were times that before I was able > to press Save, it began to buffer. It is recommended to delete the program and its directories if you are in Windows. > Will that create any > complications because I had already downloaded it to my laptop or > should there be a clean uninstall with the ability to reinstall using > the same email for the 2nd download as the 1st. We don't know from where you downloaded your copy, I certainly don't provide any email address to get a program like Gnucash. There is specific advice for Windows NOT to use version 5.13 > > I should also mention, that when I opened the program, I got the > attached pdf screenshot. Please provide your Operating System and version, and tell us from where you got the program if possible. Read-Only in your accounts list can be set from the accounts page. It /may/ just represent a glitch because you did not wait for the program to save and exit cleanly.
