Hello Peter I assume you are using Windows - you didn't say.
This issue is well-known and frequently discussed on this list. I use Linux so don't have the problem. The solution (as I understand it) is to: 1. Exit any instances of GNUCash that are running. 2. Uninstall GNUCash 3. Delete the "gnucash" folder located in "C:\Program Files (x86)" 4. Install 5.14 Search this list if you still have issues. A belated Merry Christmas & have a great 2026.
