Deva, Thanks. That it fixes only the dialog-box focus half of the problem has already been reported on the bug report.
The About dialog shows the internal GnuCash version, which didn’t change. The bundle version, 5.16-3, shows up in Get Info from Finder. If you use the NextStep column view in Finder it also shows up in the right-most column when you have GnuCash.app selected in the directory column.
