Stuart, First of all, yes, yes, you can filter the General Journal.
Open the General Journal tab and pull down the "View" menu and select "Filter By..." WHAT IS MORE, however, is that Bob (THANK YOU BOB!!!) added additional date filters for 5.16, including dynamic dates. You can accomplish what Bob added to 5.16 manually in the older 5 versions. The filters work on all registers. Also note that you may sort the registers in various ways too. Sort is separate from the filter. > On 07/19/2026 5:43 PM PDT Stuart Longland via gnucash-user > <[email protected]> wrote: > > As for the "General Journal", it's great to use for seeing where money > is going in and out of an organisation, but there's no start or end date > configuration, so it's over the entire period.
