The "1.4" is in the top few lines of the script as viewed at the cvs:

Also the script refers to a server version 1.4 but we also refer to a
database V4 --- is that because the databases can only be named in
whole numbers (not decimals) as
gnumed_v[N]
There should ne no 1.4 anywhere. Where did you find that ?
