The utility to automatically download and maintain a gnuwin32 package list as well as to extract it is now available as a self extracting archive under

The main advantage of this form is that it is smaller (!) than a ZIP file, because I can use WinRAR, another compression method that is more efficient than ZIP, but probably less known.

to test the authenticity of the GetGnuWin32.exe. The file GetGnuWin32.md5 contains the text output of
