I think I can yet improve GetGnuWin32 a lot! I do not aim at a comfortable windows installer, but nevertheless there are many possibilities yet unemployed within the cmd environment ;-) My two main issues (besides some intrinsic improvements) are: 1) INSTALL.BAT: If executed as Administrator (right-click with the mouse and choose "run as ..."), the packages can be extracted at the definitive place, which could be: - When GNUWIN32 is defined, there. - Else at %ProgramFiles%\GnuWin32 2) Rewrite the code so that it can run on any Windows Platform. >From point 2) rises the question how big the demand for such a tool is on other platform than Windows XP.
