Update: I just found a way to compile the Makefile-only zlib without having to touch or patch its Makefile. Thus, I currently don't see any need to patch your source packages. So forget what I said. The other questions still remain: How are you organzed? Who creates what packages? Which work is done by hand, which is done automatically? What exactly do I have to do to integrate a new package into your sources/installer system? Is that all documented somewhere?
