Dear All, I am thinking of pursuing Ph.D at York University, Toronto, which now accepts seniors. I was denied to do earlier as the university doesn't give equivalence to MA secured in India. They gave me BA. I have to do a proposal, and I wanted a guide. I contacted Prof. Arthur Rubinoff, as I know him well, but he suffered heart complications. I was told he's recuperating at home. I sent him email asking if he knows any professors at York who could be my guide. He said he can't think of anyone. Anyway, I will submit my proposal and, hopefully, the university will seek a guide. In this respect, I would like to request members here if they want to provide some clues/ideas/suggestions on what points need to be tackled in the light of the Liberation/Annexation debate that sparked just after India took over Goa. I would like to know if the debat holds true in political discourse in Goa today.
