Rev. Fr. Nascimento Mascarenhas, As a Goan who was born and brought up (and also resident) outside Goa, I have been following your series of essays/articles and I find them both fascinating and very interesting. I heard stories of the various wedding and other social rituals mostly from my parents and friends, as sadly we didn't practice too many of them overseas, and some of them had lost meaning. However during recent trips to Goa, I have tried to attend as many of the rituals as possible, and your essays are a valuable explanation (as sometimes even the people doing the rituals aren't too sure why they are done). If you can spare the time, I hope that you can touch on other rituals like celebrating church and chapel feasts, match making for marriages, rous etc. and I assure you that you will have at least one very interested reader.
