BATTLE OF THE BROTHERS Amit Naik will clash with his brother Arun Naik in the finals of Men's singles table tennis tournament conducted by Aldona Institute, Aldona.
In the semi-finals, Arun came from behind to overcome stiff opposition from Simon D'Souza in a set extended to seven games 9-11, 9-11, 15-13, 11-6, 11-9, 8-11, 11-6. His brother Amit defeated Michael Correia in a straight set of 11-8, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8. The finals will be held at 10 A.M on 15 August at the Club premises before a large crowd that will gather for the flag hoisting ceremony and the General Knowledge Quiz exclusively for individuals in the audience. The prize distribution of the Juniors and Seniors TT tournament and felicitation for academic excellence will be held immediately after the quiz. There will be a jam session with DJ. Ryan Sparks to provide electrifying music for the youth and the young at heart from 6 pm on wark.
