"STATEMENT ON JUDGES REPORTED OUT OF CONTEXT": The Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, has said that his statement on the judges was reported out of context. Reacting to the media reports on an Open Session on "Crimes against Women" on Sunday, Mr Parrikar aid at no stage did he make any comment on the judiciary suo moto. (H)
Also taken out of context was the alleged remark made - stating that the onus of proof lay with the youth (in respect of the alleged rape of a college girl). Our beleagured C.M. is being given a hard time indeed, recently. At least he owns up, which is more than can be said of his pompous predecessors.
