"Vauchi Baji" is one and the other one is "Vottelaon" otherwise known as "Pudina". Both of these are used to prepare 'bhojin' or 'Bhajia' in Goa. I think it was mentioned in the original mail that the vegetables was used to make bhajia.
As regards "Curry Pattha" or "Korbil" or "Korpil", in Goa, it is quite easily available
in any Indian Vegetable store in the US. Yes, I have seen people grow it indoors.
It can be kept outside, during the non-winter months. A decade ago, it was tough
to find "Kothimbir" leaves or Cilantro in any Supremarkets, but, now a days these are
freely available in any Supremarket -- expensive though.

Hi Gabe,
You are probably going to get more accurate information from the rest of the
Goa netters but the creeper that you are talking about is 'Vauchi baji'. I
remember it being used in lentil soup and on my last visit to Goa I ate the
corn dish that you wrote about at my neighbors. I am trying to grow curry
patha at home too - my husband brought it from a Hare Krishna temple in
Miami where it flourishes. So I guess it needs a lot of light and warm
weather but I know of people in New England who have gown it quite
successfully indoors.--Helga
