Panjim city will have a new system of traffic flow to remove the traffic congestion, with effect from July 1, 2006. This arrangement is a seqel to my article in the NAVHIND TIMES on 27th February 2006, "state needs master plan on traffic management" narrating the positive effects on reversing the flow of traffic on the old patto bridge at Panjim. CCP and the Traffic Police Goa, have jointly announced on 27th June 2006 about the reversal of traffic flow at Panjim. Please do feel proud since, we have been talking on Road Safety and other aspects on the Goa net and we got a good response and sufficient heat was generated. NOW WHAT SHOULD BE DONE? The Authorities should form an APEX COMMITTEE ON ROAD SAFETY FOR THE GOA STATE Master plan for the State has to be prepared with in a time frame of 6 months Education programmes should be commenced parallelly Enforcement should begin in a professional way Engineering (Road engineering) experts should suggest the necessary changes on the roads for safe driving and long lasting infrastructure. Find an alternate solution to Zuari bridge problem. Goanet friends, are you listening?
