Please be patient with Goa's next and only native Goan saint, the moral-coded
Gilbert Lawrence. It
is true logic and common sense belong to mere mortals but as I have come to
realize, Gilbert is in
a league of his own. It is not often we witness someone of his intellectual
caliber on these
forums. In fact, it is unfortunate that the day has only 24 hours and not 25, a
week only 7 days
not 8. We could have indulged in more of Gilbert's insights.
Gilbert, can you make a speech on time and forgiveness? Should all calendars
be set to the
Christian calendar? Is it possible to be a saint for all people or only Goan
Catholics? Can the
sins of Caferteria Catholics and Nasci's pagans truly be forgiven? Should
night always follow
day? Why not the other way around?
It is most unfortunate Gilbert is not a lay Pope. Then again....
