Dear Gilbert, It surprises me that labels are so important on this forum. Atheist, agnostic, conservative, liberal, communist, socialist, Hindu, Christian, and on and on.
Do you think one's journey in life should be limited to the labels others give him? Does not the sheer complexity of life allow one to meld a multitude of shades and colours? I've made my position on religion clear - several times. I'm an agnostic. If I have stated somewhere that I am practicing Catholic, I'd like to see that post. Be that as it may, I am not so black and white to be cast in any one mold for infinity. I am not immune to change and growth. I used to be a very strong theist without affiliation. Infact, there are days when I find myself almost returning to that state of being. I even may one day. What will it prove, other than some direction my own life has taken. It will mean nothing else in the broad scheme of things. My entire family is Catholic. I often accompany them to Church. I even sing the hymns and say the prayers for they fall off my lips like leaves in Autumn. What does it mean? Nothing, other than conditioning. Gilbert you are much older than I and I respect you as I would my father. But I don't see why any human being should feel the need to comment on people's personal beliefs and public practices. I do hope you and others do not reap what you preach. Yet it is useful to remember that a seed does not fall far from the tree. > _______________________________________________ > Goanet mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.goanet.org/listinfo.cgi/goanet-goanet.org > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
