This is what I know of "The crab mentality". Please don't crucify me if
anyone has another version.
Here's how I first heard it:
The crabs were having an international convention. Among them was a basket
of crabs from India, Korea, the Phillipines, and several others. Someone
asked, why are the baskets open. Won't the crabs crawl out? The wise reply
was: "When one crab tries to crawl out, another crab willab him and pull
him back into the basket"
When a Goan wants or does something good, there will be some one who is so
just plain jealous that he/she will do their best to drag him to the ground.
