One of Goa's legendary Footballer Visitaçao Lobo died at the age of 68 in Parra. Vistação played for Sesa Goa a top side in the 60's and 70's. Combining with Albino Fernandes, the duo created terror amongst the opposing defence. If not for the invasion of Goa in 1961, Lobo would have probably played for a Portuguese or European side such was his talent. In 1968 the bharat's asked him to represent them for some friendly matches against the Soviet. He also represented Goa in the Santosh Trophy. I met Visitação a couple of times he was soft spoken and humble a true sportsperson. May he Soul Rest in Peace. BC
