Is it not an irony that Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has had the audacity to now ask Rahul Gandhi to disclose what he did and wore in Thailand?
Manohar Parrikar is no stranger to Thailand. He was been to the infamous “Walking Street” at Pattaya along with his side kick the flamboyant Atmaram Nadkarni who sadly today is the Advocate General of Goa. When questioned by the press on that Bangkok trip, Manohar Parrikar had publicly stated that his visit to that red-light district renowned for its brothels was not to have sex but that he merely enjoyed two Thai massages. Do I have to go so far for sex, is what the then Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had said. We all know exactly what transpired during his Pattaya sojourn, but less said the better, now that he is the Defence Minister. All said and done Manohar Parrikar went to Thailand as a widower and Rahul Gandhi as a bachelor. The only person who may have to explain his adventure / misadventure at the ‘Walking Street’ is Atmaram Nadkarni, who is currently the First Law Officer of the now lawless Goa.
