What is really 'ajeeb' is that democracy has survived in a constantly evolving world, in its original pristine but rudimentary form that no longer works. Since then political offices have become beholden to the groups that contribute millions of dollars to campaigns making winners that have to pay them back in costs detrimental to the well being of the country. And when billionaires win, if they are tax evading financial bankrupts, they will spend their time on feathering their nest.
JC, it is also ajeeb that you think that I think that results should reflect what 'we' agree with. You have not elaborated who the 'we' are, besides me of course. Democracy is no longer democracy when you can make outlandish promises without any future performance accountability and get enough votes by mere deceit.
