Yes, but you usually neglect to mention this simple fact. In fact,
Margaret Mascarenhas' review of your book in GT points this out, as you
repeatedly say 'all over Goa', 'in all Goan households', 'Goa' etc.,
without making it clear that you mean 'Catholic' Goa.

This does not detract from the value of your book which is a good memoir
of life as it was lived, but this tendency of Goa = Catholic Goa plays
to Western stereotypes and does injustice to other communities in Goa. A
little adjective -- 'Catholic' -- would solve this problem.
