I am ONLY commenting on this post because I have been mentioned by name. I
would like to make four short points.

1. This gratuitous post says much about the 'deep concern' that Cornel feels
for the Dalits and a lack of dialogue between these two guys on the brutality
that Dalits suffer in India.

2. It is a pity that in about 5000 years of world history, Cornel knows only
the names of three fascists, who happened to be Catholic. Very coincidental,
for a guy who claims to have an "interest" in history.

3. Cornel telling Bhandare about fascism is like "Taking coal to Newcastle".
Perhaps Cornel's knowledge of the RSS is equally stunted as his knowledge of
the world's fascists dictators.

4. Bhandare with his RSS affiliation can teach Cornel much about fascism. But
then, teaching Cornel does not take much smarts.:=)) It takes much time and
patience ... with a lot of 'Saiba kakut kor'. :=))

Hi Bhandare: Words like "fascist" are used loosely by many but also
rigorously by scholars. For now, I would prefer to refer to just three
particular fascists as firmly recognised in history texts. They were Hitler,
Franco and Mussolini. All three were profoundly Roman Catholic much to the
chagrin of Gilbert Lawrence of course.
