Dear Kevin,

Having been one of those Goans who've spent an
inordinate amount of time with diasporic Goans, I
think I have some idea as to who is a Goan.

Every Goan who lives abroad, will at sometime find
himself saying, "ah humbug, forget all this I'm going
back to Goa, where the grass is green, the soro is
cheap and the mauxis cook the most amazing sorpatel".
If you've had this thought at least once in the last
year, you're still a Goan.

Selma
