To give you a little background, a proposed canal between India and Sri Lanka has been objected to (namely a political move by the communal national party BJP), because it would destroy a bridge built by a band of monkeys, to save Lord Ram. To this ridiculousness, which is what has come to typify a superpower like India, the brave Mr Karunakaran had asked if Lord Ram was a civil engineer and when he was involved in the construction of that bridge? Instead of acknowledging the sanity of this man, Dear Selma, How Karunanidhi can be called as saint.... for past four decades he has been saying every thing bad about Lord Rama. Only of RAMA. These very people changed the route to distroy the RamSetu. As also commercialy I have doubt...by spending 20,000 crores whether India will benefit from this new canal...figures say... "something like 3 crore worth of fuel and one hour of voyage time will be saved" ASI has stated that .. no research or study has been made to prove the existence of RamSetu. and blatently said in the affidavit that there is No RamSetu. Best part would be let there be research in this regard and then we can chage our belief whether there exit a RamSetu or not... As per records exist Rsam Setu referances can be trace to atlest 2000 years back..
