RESPONSE: I am playing the Devil's advocate here, if it ain't broke why fix it ? As they say in American parlance! The Bamons are happy with the status quo and so are the non bamons, in Goa. The only people who get irritated seem to be expat Goans. This will continue forever. I do not believe it is a problem in Goa. I do think it is a problem though in the U.K. as it was in East Africa.
