Dears, The disconnect between percept and practice does not end with the Sunday sermon .... many of us forget the sermon but do as the priests do [irrespective of the religion]. Most RSS fanatics are atheists as were quite a few of the Portuguese administrators who got our forefathers baptised as a form of social and political control. Religion is the opium of the masses ...and it helps the powerful to keep them doped!
Faith in God is a different cup of tea. I do not mix it with my religion! So what the hell are "faith schools" It is unthinkable to me that the Creator changes as one converts and reconverts through baptism, circumcision or shuddhikaran. The DSE-managed schools in Goa have a majority of Hindu students today and cannot teach cathechism as they used to in my days at school. That is history. Permanently, thanks to the shift to Antruzi Konkani in Devanagri script because of grants ....or money, honey. The word "Catholic" means "universal". QUESTION: My Dear Cornel, Did you send your daughters to a non affiliated school, or were they sent to a Catholic school ?Were they baptized, received 1st Holy Communion and perhaps even Confirmed ?
