I had asked Miguel Braganza for the source of his statement that "most RSS
fanatics are atheists". I hope he provides me with the information.
In the meantime, Fredrick Noronha has made his own intervention. On this
specific point of query he says: "I don't think "most" of the RSS leaders were
non-religious people." (Emphasis in original) I do not intend to quibble, but
is there a difference between Fred's 'leaders' and Miguel's 'fanatics'? Also,
Fred says 'were', which is past tense. What is the situation for the present?
Since he has dwelt quite a bit on the RSS in his post, I presume he would be
able to enlighten us all.
In my message I had also asked: "And in what context was it necessary to bring
in the RSS in this discussion?" In his comments on the RSS, I do not think Fred
has responded to this question.
Fred also begins his post with the following statement: "To take the debate
forward, how does the RSS compare and contrast with the Catholic Church?"
However, in the rest of the post, he talks only about the RSS, and not about
the Catholic Church. I do not know much about the church. Perhaps Fred, or
someone else, can take the debate forward and make comments on the church.
