I have already changed my two-part surname to a caste
neutral one by dropping the part that revealed my
caste. Helekar or Elekar (a man from Ela), the part
that is left is a caste-neutral surname. I have done
this with regard to almost all legal/official
documents I have in my possession. I had mentioned
this earlier on Goanet when Cipriano accused me of not
renouncing my caste a few years ago.

Nationality refers to the country of origin and/or
citizenship or subjecthood.

No. Brahmin is a caste.

Cheers,

Santosh
