[Goanet] Chardi Behaviour nothing to do with Caste - to Guirimboy
The incident (serving different dishes to different people at the same time) did not take place half a century ago (as claimed by you). Fyi, not even quarter of a century ago. And no, the higher class people at the Ladin did not come from a distant, 80% came from within the same radius as us and the remaining within 1.5 km radius. You dont invite distant relatives for a simple ladin. and fyi, the total of all such people including kids was about 15 and we were about 20. It was also obvious that they call us only to sing 'Ladin' as Chardi are not good at it. About your Godxem story, it does not make any sense at all. Why someone would ask for Xacuti when every body else is served Godxem? Where as in my case, both Godxem and Xacuti served at the same time but not to all. Some people got Godxem only where as others got both Godxem and Xakuti and that too at the same time and in the same house. Apart from above, rest of the other things which I have mentioned is true or happening even now. One has to be in Goa to talk about Goa. Going by your several posts on the subject, it appears that you yourself belong to Chardi caste, perhaps, a low budget Chardi (as you say). At Guirim boarding School, you had watery curry with TWO pieces of meat in it, remember ? One of the reasons I bring such things up hoping some people might change their way of life etc. But sadly, some of them will never change Sunneamchi Xempddi vankddi ti vankddich And to put it in the Indian language Kutte ki dund teddi se teddi rehata hai People irrespective of their caste, need to grow up. e.g. guirimboy, may need to grow up into a guirimman. Let's not always read all the post with a red pencil in our hands. Let's make use of our green pencil too.
