I came across this (same) report on two news channels this evening that it
is cheaper to fly both ways from Mumbai to Dubai and Mumbai to Singapore
than Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai this holiday season! What is worse is that even if
one didnt mind splurging on a one way ticket to Goa he/she would find "no
room in Goa's holiday inns" (in the best Biblical tradition). And to add our
own masala to the pot, you probably couldnt get a flight out to Dubai or
Singapore if you wanted to go there from Goa after finding out about the
acco problem. So they should be prepared to sleep on the sidewalk and have
nightmares of Matanhy Saldanha, Manohar Parrikar & Co who are threatening
dire consequences to tourists tomorrow in their campaign against SEZs! Quo
vadis, Goa?
