1. <have any of the powers that be ever addressed any of the serious issues raised by Goans until they agitated?>
I have not been really able to understand what the Goans are agitating about. OK may be SEZs were pushed through in obscene haste. But I still dont know what the magnitude of land use changes envisaged in RP 2011 were. And as for Dabolim vs Mopa it is stuck like a broken record on Dabolim for ever and Mopa never. To top it all there is an incredible number of groups agitating for something or other. Does this reflect any shared values and views? Or are people who have nothing better to do being led like lambs to the pasture? 2.<the virtual state of lawlessness makes people feel that they have to protect their own interests, because they cannot depend on the state to do so.> What is the state of lawlessness people are talking about? Are people that gullible? Or are they just looking for straws to grab hold of and justify their antics as a mob? Where exactly is the hanky panky going on? And why is law enforcement lacking? Let's have facts on an all-Goa basis instead of creating a bogeyman about lawlessness and going on the rampage at the drop of a hat. Goa may be getting a bad name for nothing but dumb leaders and dumb followers.
