Seb dc noted that: not all like to prefix Dr. to their names, there are so many here on Goanet who do not...JC, Santosh, Rajan to name a few....Like wise some flaunt it like Anil, Barad & Virginkar...also the Famous Carmo from Harbour beach....who has disappeard in thin air now:-)
Dear Seb_dc, I cannot speak for everyone on your list (supra) but will do so wrt Santosh and JC.Let's give due where it should be given. The main reason why Santosh and JC do not use "Dr" as a prefix antes their name is because they are Fators. Both have distinguished themselves as Fators of the Royal College of Chimbel (FRCC). As you know, this college is the most famous and prestigious college in the Independent Republic of Chimbel (IRC). Every four years there is a glittering graduation ceremony at the Dhovi Khopti - at which time new Fators are inducted. It is a credit to the institution that NO new Fators were inducted for the past years.as our Rejident Prejident Mahashri Jorge Fotkiro BozoSingh was busy conducting guerra in his quest for coconut oil. Next year though, we expect our new prejident either Kapitao Joao or o Senhor Urak will find time to honour more Fators. Nominations are open. Please send in the nominations and please specify the category. For those who might be unaware - The Independent Republic of Chimbel reserves land for only two categories of individuals (a) Distinguished Fators from the RCC and (b) Emeritus Fators from the rest of the country known as Gadbadpur (originally known as Goa). It has been reported that these Emeritus Fators live in naturally air-conditioned accommodations in Chimbel. It is a tourist site. Have you seen this site yet?
