Dear Floriano, I certainly agree with you when you say that Morad Ahmed cannot reject a technically sound plan. Certainly not, and I agree that would cost him his very plush and comfortable chair! The import of my post is that technically unsound plans are getting passed by the very same TCP of which Morad Ahmed is THE BOSS. It is no use to say that some underling has received a bribe and passed the plan! To give you a shipping analogy buck stops with the captain of the ship. The high perks of office and its trimmings also carry a price tag, that of responsibility!
If I may, can I take the liberty of taking you back to that Gram Sabha meeting in the Moira Panchayat hall? Weren't you the one appointed as 'expert' by the Sarpanch to read, inspect and interpret to the Sabha, the Acron Project files? And who was it who found that the file did not have a contour plan which is mandatory; that the gradient was greater than permissible; that there was only one soak pit for 16 cottages; that there was no garbage disposal plan; there was no water harvesting plan; that the approach roads were not physically and actually as per plan? That there were 17 swimming pools for 16 cottages; that each cottage is a three storied structure with basement parking, and two upper stories? Isn't your wife's house in the vicinity of the proposed project and aren't you aware of the nature of the slope there? So this is what? A technically sound plan? And it was approved by Morad Ahmed whom you defend so stoutly? If not passed by him personally, then by one of his minions for which he is also responsible? And don't tell me, as Head of Office, he has not seen and signed the notings and the final order! It is common knowledge how cursorily the TCP inspections are carried out and how miraculously, with the aid of a little grease money, green belts become black/ red/ or brown belts or belts of any colour for that matter. After all, its just a matter of drawing a different coloured line on a map in the comfort of the office or over an exotic meal in a star rated restaurant accompanied by the best produce of Scotland. -- Tony de Sa Ph: +91 832 2470148 E: [EMAIL PROTECTED] M: +91 9975 162 897 ----------------------------------------------------------- Achievement is largely the product of steadily raising one's levels of aspiration and expectation. - Jack Nicklaus ------------------------------------------------------------
