----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My response: Exactly! But constant crying and cribbing over why Samir said a particular thing is childish behavior. The discussion leads to nowhere. That is not what forums are meant for. The purpose of forums is for thoughts and ideas to flower and bloom. And whether or not Samir's post was sensitive or insensitive would be a matter of perspective. In my opinion, he has written nothing wrong. The passages of some of our holiest books too would be holy and infallible from some perspectives and unholy, insensitive and even criminal from a whole lot of other perspectives. If at all this discussion needs to be continued, it should be in a progressive direction and not in a negative one. Let's discuss the larger issue: whether what Samir said (or implied) is right or whether it is wrong. 1. Has the concept of God benefited humanity or has it harmed humanity? 2. Is religion in its present form good or bad? 3. Should the concepts of God and religion be improved or do they need to be discarded altogether? 4. Is God a regressive concept or is it a progressive one? A lot of these and similar questions need to be answered. Let's move forward positively. Cheers Sandeep
