To: goa...@goanet.org Message-ID: <988379.17068...@web25906.mail.ukl.yahoo.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 What variety of Mangoes are these? http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk19/3534208879/sizes/l/ We called it 'Belgaumche Ambe' Whereas some call it Bombil or bombe or Bomboimche ambe These mangoes usually arrive in Goa mid May and available through out the monsoon June/July/Aug Also, seen this variety grown in Goa too When kids, we remember stoning/stealing these raw mangoes from a bhatkar compound. Raw mangoes taste sweet (not too much sour like any other raw mangoes). We often said it is like 'Katlecho' (Coconut). Any one? http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk19/3534208879/sizes/l/ joego...@yahoo.co.uk for Goa & NRI related info... http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/GOAN-NRI/ For Goan Video Clips http://youtube.com/joeukgoa In Goa, Dial? 1 0 8 For Hospital, Police, Fire etc
