This is not a rational statement. It does not logically follow from the
fact that the SRY gene on the Y chromosome determines the male gender in
humans. Homosexuality is a normal variation of sexual orientation, not of
the primary or secondary anatomical characteristics of gender. Sexual
orientation is a scientific term that refers to the state of sexual and
emotional affinity towards members of the opposite sex, same sex or both
sexes, and the persistent sense of identity that a person develops as a
result of this affinity.
***We have to distinguish between homosexual orientation and homoseuxal
behaviour. Homosexual orientation is not a crime. But homosexual behaviour
is wrong. Cajetan Alvares may have not understood that I refer to the
distinction between homosexual orientation, which is not a crime, and
homosexual deviant behaviour, which is ethically wrong. Empathy is needed,
concern for the people for their rehabilitation.
