Likely the US-based Goaneter, like some seniors who are against government-run
health-insurance, has himself a government-run health-insurance called Medicare
parts A, B and D.

More bald faced distortions and these are deliberate because Gilbert surely
knows better.

The Medicare system is an insurance system only for persons over 65 years of
age that is paid for with retirement money collected over a persons working
life. Thus it is not FREE. The people covered have to pay for the insurance
with monthly premiums as well as deductibles and co-pays and must carry
supplemental insurance on their own to cover health insurance costs not covered
by the plan.

However, because the Medicare system has been designed and is run by government
bureaucrats and is a single-payer system, it is projected to become bankrupt by
2017.

Despite your smarts, your sloganeering distracts you from reading and targeting
your response  to the issue.  As my post above shows, I claimed the healthcare
program for seniors was "government-run health-insurance called Medicare".  I
did not claim it was free. Now is Medicare a "government-run health-insurance"
or not? Please answer the question (Y/N).

The "bald faced distortion" is your claim that Medicare will "become bankrupt
by 2017" because it is "run by government bureaucrats and is a single-payer
system". The truth is that Medicare is projected to become bankrupt; because
its members (seniors) consume more healthcare (increasing cost) than what was /
is being contributed by seniors - and supplemented by current, mostly
under-65-years taxpayers.

Please stop the bogey-man issues. Save your tsunami of "talking points" (a.k.a.
distortions) for some town-hall meetings in your area; or better still for some
right-wing talk-radio or TV.  But then you can use some points from my
four-part article on Healthcare; currently on Goanet to educate your friends on
the far-right.

The contents of the following link is from a Republican US senator; and is
likely directed to people like you (a.k.a - Palinistas). Enjoy!  Now we may see
you calling this REPUBLICAN  senator a socialist.  And she being from Alaska,
perhaps you may wish she moves to Russia, without the Palinistas ... of
course.:=))
