Strangely enough, a similar discussion is taking place in the Toronto
newspapers today.
I am going to use a quote from the Letters to the Editor section of, The Globe
and Mail, Toronto.
The letter is from Paul Alofs, President and CEO of the Princess Margaret
Hospital Foundation.
This hospital is dear to me but better known to most people as one of the
premier cancer
research and treatment institutions in the world.
Here is part of the letter:
There is a quote from Bernard Baruch framed in the offices of several doctors
at Princess Margaret:
"There are no such things as incurable; there are only things for which man has
not found a cure."
For those who want to believe in incurable stuff, I say, "No one is forcing you
to change your ways."
For those who want to tackle the frontiers of medical science, I say. "How can
I finance your research."
