Dear Venantius, Kurmuleo and arroz tufado are the Konkani and Portuguese names for puffed rice. Oats is something quite different. I found this tortured definition of oats in an English-Konkani Pronouncing Dictionary published by Asia Educational Services in New Delhi: Oat, Danneanchem zadd, jem vortouta chodd adauvachem tachea dannea vo orouva passot.
