Bosco D asked: > And who, in your opinion, is responsible for keeping track of > Performance Measures?
a) The person paying the officials salary. b) The person who the official is supposed to serve. > How many persons did you talk to?? And how does the personality of an > individual dilute the the accomplishment or lack thereof, of the Department > of NRI Affairs?? A few minutes ago, I sent another post describing that I have little interest in the accomplishments or as you add, the lack thereof, of Faleiro or the NRI's office. I only wrote to contribute what I have been hearing. > And did you not meet him after your unpleasant exchanges with Faleiro > and his office on Goanet?? I think your impression would have been tainted > prior to you meeting him. Actually, my one meet with him was accidental. I was taken to a promotional event in Goa where he was present. After we were introduced, he claimed: 1) Not to have heard of Goanet 2) That he had not corresponded with me 3) That he could not type. I believed him as: 1) He had spent loads of money, in Goa, advertising an "International Goan Conference." I only heard of the same conference on Goanet, which was then the largest network of Goans, a few days before the conference. In other words, Faleiro or the NRI's office used their advertisement dollars in every sector EXCEPT the one which had the most amount of non-resident Goans. 2) I later got confirmation that he was unaware of staff members using an email address with his name to correspond with the public. > What is the service you seek? The service I seek, is that which is in his mandate. Nothing more, nothing less. In the meantime, I have to stress, once again, that all I hear is the lack of service, both from him and his office.
