An Israeli drug peddler in Goa jail was found to be updating his Facebook 
account from behind the bars indicating that he had an access to internet which 
is banned in jail. 

David Driham alias Dudu, who was arrested for possessing drugs and is currently 
lodged at Aguada Central Jail, has been regularly keeping in touch with his 
fiancée, sister and friends through social networking website Facebook. 

When approached inspector general of prisons Mihir Vardhan said that he would 
be investigating into the matter. "How sure are you that he himself is doing 
it? Someone else may also do it on his behalf," he said, but also assured to 
investigate the uploads on Facebook. 

The account was last updated on June 18, while he has been in lock up since 
February 21 after he was arrested with cocaine, heroine, LSD (Lysergic acid 
diethylamide) and Charas, having a street value of Rs 3.81 lakh, at Anjuna area 
here. 

"My baby I love you so much, my fiancée," Dudu said in the Facebook remark 
written to Zarine Driham on April 15. He was regularly updating his profile 
till June with a few of his friends wishing him good luck in his case. 

"Atonement for you. All miss you, and keep you fingers crossed," Jude Yhudit 
Azulay, a photographer based in Ramat Gen wrote to Dudu on Facebook. 

Dudu's sister who frequently visits Goa has also kept in touch with her brother 
through Facebook. Photographs of Dudu and his fiancée celebrating Valentine's 
Day are also prominently displayed on Facebook. 

Dudu in his confession named several police officers who allegedly accepted 
bribe from him. Besides drug case, Dudu is also convicted for three years for 
overstaying in Goa without valid documents.
