With the Goa Governor Dr. S.S.Sidhu not complying with the RTI Act, we have the constitutional head of the State himself violating the law. Governor Sidhu who is otherwise a highly respected senior retired bureaucrat has let us all down. If the Governor claims he is not a Public authority, he needs to tell us what he is. How does he justify the crores of rupees being spent on his upkeep and that of his official residence, the sprawling Raj Bhavan which has 136 staff in addition to the over 100 security personnel. Even the Governor’s haircut is being paid by the State exchequer. It is all digging very deep into the pockets of Goa’s Aam Aadmi.
