Carmen, to extend your logic further, shouldn't we also stop thinking in
terms of Goan and non-Goan? Or even Indian and non-Indian? Aren't we all
just human beings, some of whom face exploitation and problems while others
seek to take advantage (economic, political or whatever) of it?
Even decades or centuries ago, some "Goans" were always considered "more
equal" than other "Goans". So what has ethnicity got to do with it? FN
PS: I know this cuts into the very basic assumptions that some of us make.
It is a hard-to-accept reality, yet it is a reality all the same.
