Vivek Menezes has failed to mention that he has reviewed this restaurant for Vogue India. That automatically places his comments to Rajiv Desai's post on Goanet in the "suspect" column, since we all know the tendency for wining and dining in these matters for a favorable writeup.
I note the following in his review: http://www.bomras.com/about.html The penchant for superlatives like "best Burmese restaurant in the world", "culinary phenomenon" "sublime" and words in that vein. Every restaurant has some negatives. The reviewer seems to have ignored them. A question for VM: Did you at any time dine at Bomras on your own coin like Rajiv Desai intended to do? When it's your own money, it always hurts not to get full value not only for food but service as well.
